Covid-19 Watch: 172 new cases bring total to 5,035,377


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 172 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday (Jan 27), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's KKMNow portal, 171 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there was one imported case.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 5,035,377 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of three deaths was recorded on Wednesday with no cases of 'brought in dead,' bringing the total to 36,936.
