Total of 19 housing scams reported in Johor last year, says exco member

JOHOR BARU: A total of 19 cases of "rent-to-own" housing scams have been reported to the Johor State Housing Development Corporation (PKPJ) in 2022 with losses of RM122,000, says Datuk Mohd Jafni Md Shukor.

The Johor housing and local government committee chairman said the scam was conducted by a syndicate led by a 55-year-old local man.
