GEORGE TOWN: Even without Michelin Guide ratings, and even after raising prices by as much as 50%, hawkers here are doing well with year-end tourists in search of street food.
A check on local food haunts, especially those somewhat off the beaten track, showed plenty of visitors from other states lining up for street food even on weekdays, and taking the higher prices in their stride.
