KUALA LUMPUR: The proposal for the European Union to regulate products which have potential links to deforestation is detrimental to free and fair trade, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.
The European Council and European Parliament had recently reached a provisional deal over a proposal to minimise the risk of deforestation and forest degradation associated with products imported into or exported from the European Union.
