Malaysia committed to cutting greenhouse gas emissions


KUALA LUMPUR: The government is highly committed to addressing and implementing climate actions to further reduce the country’s carbon emissions, although Malaysia’s share of the global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions is only at 0.69%.

Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said the government also remains dedicated to realising the net-zero GHG emissions target while balancing the economic needs of the nation and the people’s well-being.
