PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong has congratulated Anthony Loke on his appointment as Transport Minister.
"I pray for your best and I hope YB will be able to continue the development agenda in all sectors including land, maritime and air transportation as well as logistics which will bring immense benefit to the people and the country," the MCA president said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Dec 3).
Loke previously held the transport portfolio from 2018 to 2020 in the Pakatan Harapan government led by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. He was then succeeded by Dr Wee when the Pakatan administration collapsed.
Loke was once again appointed as Transport Minister under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's unity government.
The DAP secretary-general is among the 15 ministers from Pakatan Harapan in the 28-MP Cabinet.
