ACTRESS Fasha Sandha was moved to tears when voting in GE15, Kosmo! reported.

She said perhaps the excitement of fulfilling her duty to the country tugged at her heartstrings.

“We are ready to vote to fulfil our responsibilities as Malaysians.

“I don’t know why I suddenly felt like crying. Can you see the tears? They are tears of melancholy.

“I wish the best for Malaysians,” said Fasha, who wore a blue-hued kebaya with scattered floral motifs when she went to cast her vote on Saturday.

The Anak Mami Kembali actress also shared her voting experience through short videos and pictures on Instagram.

Fasha, whose full name is Nur Fasha Sandha Hassan 38, was accompanied by her actor husband Aidil Aziz, who also voted at the same polling centre in Kuala Lumpur.

> Three mute and deaf childhood friends turned up to cast their ballots at the same location on polling day, Berita Harian reported.

They are Shahfez Mohd Shah, 40, Intan Liana Azmi, 39, and Mohd Faizal Abu Osman, 39, who voted for the Titiwangsa parliamentary seat at SK Taman Maluri.

Shahfez said he came with his wife Ayu Nurul Syuhada Mohd Fauzi, 33, who is also deaf and mute, before meeting his two other friends at the polling station.

“The special thing today is that my wife and my friend also voted at the same place,” said Shahfez, who has voted three times.

Intan Liana said she came from Cheras and arrived at the centre at 8am to fulfil her duties.

“I’m relieved to be able to vote as my friend here.

“The process was also easy because many staff helped and simplified our affairs.

“I hope that the government that will be formed later will defend and not marginalise people with disabilities like us,” she said.
