IPOH: A primary school headmaster died after his motorcycle was involved in an accident with a car along Jalan Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (Nov 15).
Kampar OCPD Supt Mohamad Nazri Daud, in a statement Tuesday, said the incident, which occurred on a two-way lane, was reported by a member of the public at around 7.40am.
An investigation at the scene found both vehicles on the grassy side of the road.
The 45-year-old victim identified as Mohd Erilzuddin Affendi Mohd Amir, was found next to the driver's vehicle while his motorcycle was some 10m away.
"Based on the position of both vehicles, the driver is believed to be heading towards Ipoh from Kampar while the victim was on his way to Kampar from Ipoh.
"The driver lost control of the vehicle and turned into the victim's lane," Supt Nazri said.
The driver, 42, has been brought to Kampar Hospital for further treatment while the victim died at the scene.
Further investigations are ongoing under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act.
