Billboard 'war' in Tambun has nothing to do with me, says Peja

IPOH: There seems to be a billboard and poster "war" taking place in the Tambun constituency with several "gigantic" posters of PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim spotted in the area over the last few days.

And now there is a huge billboard with the phrase "Size does not matter " from Perikatan Nasional fixed at Tambun road heading to the highway.

When contacted, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu - also known as Peja - said that the messages were just friendly political banter between voters.

"I have said it before, I am not involved with the billboard messages. This could be done by my friends with their own initiative. Nothing to do with me," he told The Star on Sunday (Nov 13)

It is believed that the phrase was in reference to huge posters of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim located in Manjoi and also along the North-South Expressway heading closer towards the Ipoh toll.

On Saturday (Nov 12) Ahmad Faizal said Anwar needed to place gigantic posters of him to introduce himself to the people in Tambun.

Ahmad Faizal (Perikatan Nasional - Bersatu) is set to defend his seat against Anwar (Pakatan Harapan - PKR), Datuk Aminuddin Md Hanafiah (Barisan Nasional - Umno) and Gerakan Tanah Air-Pejuang’s Abdul Rahim Tahir.
