Three heavyweights among five-cornered fight in Pandan

KUALA LUMPUR: Five candidates have secured their nomination for the Pandan parliamentary seat for the 15th General Election.

Three heavyweights including PKR’s deputy president Rafizi Ramli, Parti Warisan’s Ong Tee Keat and MCA’s Leong Kok Wee will go head to head with two newcomers from PAS and GTA.

Rafizi and Ong both served as Pandan MP in the past while Leong will be vying for the seat a second time, having contested in GE14.

The newcomers are PAS candidate Muhammad Rafique Zubir Albakri and Pejuang’s Nadia Hanafiah.

Pandan nomination centre returning officer Julailah Jamaludin announced that all candidates that presented their documents were eligible to contest the seat.
