SEMPORNA: Youtuber Jufazli Shi Ahmad (pic) will be trying his luck once again with a second attempt at seizing the Bugaya state seat as an independent candidate.
The 34-year-old said that the decision was made at the last minute after the people in the area urged him to contest.
“I’m going to contest as people have been asking me to and also I want to fight for people here," he said on Saturday (Nov 5).
Jufazli was seen with his supporters at the Dewan Masyarakat Semporna nomination centre.
He had previously created controversy through his videos uploaded on Youtube, and has over 200,000 subscribers.
In July, Jufazli was charged at the Sessions Court with two counts of making and initiating the transmission of offensive communications against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Umno via TikTok and YouTube.
