PETALING JAYA: PKR's Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail will be facing off against two veteran politicians in a three-cornered fight for the Bandar Tun Razak seat as the sole female candidate.
They are MCA's Datuk Chew Yin Keen and incumbent MP Datuk Kamarudin Jaafar from Bersatu.
Bandar Tun Razak nomination centre Returning Officer Mohamad Hamim announced that nomination had closed at 10am.
Subsequently, he made the official announcement of the candidates at 10.20am.
In a show of multi-racial support, Chew, who is the Bandar Tun Razak MCA Chairman came with Bandar Tun Razak Umno Chairman Datuk Rizalman Mokthar as the proposer and Datuk Thevarsagayam Ahamparam Thevar as the seconder.
Meanwhile, Kamarudin came with Bandar Tun Razak PAS president Md Shukur Aziz as proposer and Bandar Tun Razak Bersatu deput dividion chief Shaharuddin Abd Aziz as seconder.
Wan Azizah came with Bandar Tun Razak PKR chief Azman Abidin as proposer and Bandar Tun Razak PKR office administrative officer S. Karunity as the seconder.
