GE15: Political parties failed to field 30% women candidates, says group

PETALING JAYA: Political parties have failed yet again to recognise women as leaders by not fielding them as candidates and fulfilling the aspired 30% for the 15th General Elections (GE15), says Pantau PRU15.

Data obtained on Nov 3 shows Pakatan Harapan fielded only 18%, Gerakan Tanah Air has 13.3%, Barisan Nasional (11%) Perikatan Nasional (9.3%), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (16%) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah-BN (12.5%), the group said.
