GE15: Four-corner fight for Kampar and its three state seats


KAMPAR: It will be a multi-corner fight for the Kampar parliamentary seat as four parties and coalitions successfully registered themselves for the 15th General Election.

All coalitions except for Parti Warisan are set to contest Kampar and all its state seats namely Keranji, Malim Nawar and Tualang Sekah.

MCA Datuk Lee Chee Leong will be contesting at Kampar seat against Wong Oi Foon from Gerakan,DAP's Chong Zhemin, and Warisan Leong Chuk Lung.

Incumbent Malim Nawar assemblyman Leong Cheok Keng (Warisan) will defend his seat against Bavani Veraiah, also known as Shasha (DAP), Chin Woon Kheong (MCA) and Sharifah Aemeera Najwa Syed Mohamed (Bersatu).

For Keranji state seat, Koo Haai Yen (DAP), will contest together with Foong Kar Sing (Gerakan), Puah Chee Haur from Warisan and Ng Wah Leng (MCA).

Meanwhile for Tualang Sekah, Umno Abd Rahman Md Som will be contesting along with Mohd Azlan Helmi Helmi (PKR) and Pazli Abdullah Sani (Bersatu).
