KUCHING: Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar says it was his own decision not to seek re-election in the coming general election as the time was right for him to step down.

The incumbent Santubong MP cleared the air that he was not asked to retire by Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg or anyone else.
