GE15: More Barisan leaders expected to join Perikatan, says Hadi

MARANG: More Barisan Nasional leaders are expected to contest under the Perikatan Nasional's banner for the 15th General Election (GE15), says Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang.

The PAS president said they are still in discussions and the names are expected to be announced on nomination day on Saturday (Nov 5).

"There are leaders from the north, central and southern (peninsula)" he said to reporters after the Terengganu Perikatan candidates announcement here on Thursday (Nov 3).

Abdul Hadi, however, kept mum on the number of seats which are still in discussions.

Earlier, Abdul Hadi announced that axed Barisan MPs Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim would be contesting in Arau, Perlis and Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Abd Muttalib in Maran, Pahang under Perikatan’s ticket.

Abdul Hadi said the decisions to field the Barisan leaders received the consensus of all PAS members and are supported by voters.
