Woman dies in car accident near funeral services centre in Kulai


KULAI: A woman died in an accident at KM5, Jalan Kota Tinggi-Kulai near a funeral services centre here.

The Johor Fire and Rescue Department said it received an emergency call on the incident at 11.05pm on Wednesday (Oct 26).

"The victim, identified as Siti Aminah Abdullah, was trapped in the car she was driving after it collided head-on with another car,'' said Kulai fire station chief Bahtiar Selamat.

He said the 28-year-old victim was pronounced dead by paramedics while the other driver, Mohd Shahrul Nizam Shahrudin, 41, suffered minor injuries.

Bahtiar said Siti Aminah's body was handed over to police for further action, while Mohd Shahrul was admitted to hospital for treatment.

He said eight firemen were involved in the operation led by senior officer II Mohd Fauzi Che Deris.
