Dr Wee goes to the ground to assist his constituents

PETALING JAYA: It was a day well spent for MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong who went down to the ground and mingled with his constituents to know how he can help them better on Saturday (Oct 22).

The Ayer Hitam MP said his usual routine each time he returned to his constituency in Johor would be to meet people face-to-face, aside from communicating online.

"It’s my preference to know about every issue or community problem directly from the people.

"I’d also want to solve those problems as quickly as I can," said Dr Wee in a Facebook post on Saturday night (Oct 22).

Earlier, the Transport Minister visited Kangkar Bahru in Yong Peng, Johor to distribute food aid boxes to the Indian community there to mark the Deepavali celebration.

Dr Wee said he also managed to interact with some locals who were practicing volleyball at the Dewan Terbuka JPKK Kangkar Bahru.

"After that, I stopped by the coffee shop at the Kangkar Bahru town and spent some time chatting with the customers there," he added.

With Dr Wee was also Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon.
