Warisan appoints new treasurer-general, information chief

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan (Warisan) has announced the appointment of Petagas assemblyman Datuk Awang Ahmad Sah Sahari as its treasurer-general and Sepanggar member of parliament Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman as Information chief.

Its secretary-general, Datuk Loretto Padua Jr, in a statement on Thursday (Oct 13) night, said prior to this Awang Ahmad was Information chief while Mohd Azis was Warisan Wira chief.

"(Mohd) Azis decided not to contest in the party election in August to make way for a new face to lead Warisan Wira.

"This move was taken to rejuvenate the party and promote youth leadership," the statement said.

Terrence Siambun who was Warisan treasurer previously, won the vice-president post uncontested in the party polls. - Bernama
