GE15: Support Umno, BN candidates with zeal, says Khaled


JOHOR BARU: Umno and Barisan Nasional candidates for the 15th General Election (GE15) must be supported with enthusiasm and determination, says Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin (pic).

The Umno vice-president said every division of the party should take the time and opportunity to plan the best strategy, voice constructive suggestions and provide criticism to strengthen their campaign.

“Most importantly, increase commitment and enthusiasm to help the party. No matter who is nominated, Umno and Barisan representatives must be supported with enthusiasm and determination.

“There is no individual greater than the party and there is no better party than Umno and Barisan... to bring stability and prosperity to Malaysia,” he said in a Facebook post here on Friday (Oct 14).

Meanwhile, state Umno and Barisan chief Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad said the readiness of its machinery was the main key to victory for Johor Barisan.

“As the state Barisan election director, I have reviewed the preparations and coordination together with state Barisan operations director Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi, who is also the Johor Mentri Besar.

“Alhamdulillah, everything is at the most optimal level,” he said in a Facebook post.

Barisan has set a target of winning between 16 and 20 out of 26 parliament seats in Johor in GE15.

Barisan recorded a landslide victory after it won 40 out of 56 seats in the state polls in March.
