GE15: Pakatan will form electoral pact with Muda, says Anwar

PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan will form an electoral pact with Muda to take on the 15th General Election (GE15), says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“So far, an electoral pact. Because if they want to be an official member (of Pakatan), it must go through the Registrar of Societies (RoS).

“So, I don’t think the RoS will approve anything now,” said the coalition chairman when met by reporters after a four-hour long Pakatan presidential council meeting at PKR’s headquarters in Merchant Square.

Anwar said there will be a committee to continue discussions on cooperation with Muda.

“There are several matters for mutual understanding and discussions will continue. If there is an agreement on seats and logos, we have no objections,” said Anwar, adding that ongoing talks are positive.

Last month, Muda had applied to join Pakatan to avoid clashes in the 15th general election.

Previously, there was reluctance from certain PKR leaders against Muda’s plans to officially join Pakatan
