Two-year-old boy killed in Kuala Langat crash


KUALA LANGAT: A toddler was killed in a road accident along Jalan Besar when the car he was in collided with a lorry.

When contacted on Tuesday (Oct 11), Selangor Fire and Rescue Department director Norazam Khamis said after receiving a distress call, firemen were deployed to the scene near RTB Bukit Canggang.

"The preliminary report showed that a car crashed into the back of a lorry near a traffic light junction.

"As a result of the collision, the driver of the car, aged 39, was pinned in the driver's seat while his two-year-old son was flung to the back passenger seat.

"The toddler died at the scene," he said, adding that the driver was rescued by firemen and rushed to the Banting Hospital where he is treated for serious injuries.
