Budget 2023: Electricity bill subsidy extended to homes with total income up to RM1,169


PETALING JAYA: Households with income of RM1,169 and below will enjoy an electricity bill subsidy of up to RM40 under Budget 2023, says the Finance Minister.

Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said the current eligible income threshold was RM980, with the revision to benefit more households.

“I hope the subsidy will benefit more rakyat,” he said when tabling Budget 2023 in the Dewan Rakyat on Friday (Oct 7).
