PETALING JAYA: All is set for Malaysia's bid for a seat in the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Council.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong had the last pre-council meeting with the Malaysian delegation before the election Part lll of the ICAO Council on Tuesday (Oct 4) in Montreal, Canada.
"We discussed about the last leg of our campaign to lobby for votes from ICAO member states to ensure victory for Malaysia for the sixth time," said Dr Wee on Facebook on Monday (Oct 3).
"Today we will have six more bilateral meetings and four more receptions to attend before we conclude this final lap of our campaign.
Dr Wee said the Malaysian delegation was working very hard to strengthen ties with member states and secure votes from them.
"Malaysia will have had a total of 44 bilateral meetings with heads of delegation and representatives from various countries from throughout the world.
"Let us all cheer Malaysia on and wish our country the very best in the election," added Dr Wee.
