Flash floods hit several areas in KL

SEVERAL roads in the capital were inundated after a downpour that lasted about an hour on Tuesday (Oct 4).

Photos shared by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) showed that among the areas affected were Jalan Kuchai Lama, Lebuhraya Bukit Jalil, Jalan Bangsar and Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim.

However, water was said to have receded in some areas.

Alam Flora Sdn Bhd said its workers were dispatched to Bulatan Dato Onn and surrounding areas to clear the scupper drains.

Some workers were also sent to Jalan Raja Laut and Jalan Tangsi to undertake immediate work to remove any blockages.

The Telawi area of Bangsar was flooded just after 10mins of heavy rain.

Along Jalan Bukit Pantai, there were strong gushes of water from the drains.
