Istana Negara says no audience between King, PM on Monday (Oct 3)

PETALING JAYA: Istana Negara denies reports that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob will seek an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on Monday (Oct 3).

Earlier, Sinar Harian had reported that Ismail Sabri was seeking an audience with the King on Monday, quoting blogger Datuk Zaharin Mohd Yasin.

Sinar Harian later reported that a news portal had contacted Comptroller of the Royal Household Datuk Seri Ahmad Fadil Shamsuddin, who denied the report and said Al-Sultan Abdullah was still in Singapore.

"(It's) fake news. Tuanku is still in Singapore," Ahmad Fadil was quoted as saying.

On Sunday (Oct 2), Zaharin, who was sacked from Umno on Friday (Sept 30), had alleged that Ismail Sabri would seek an audience with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Monday to seek the dissolution of Parliament.

Meanwhile, Sinar Harian also reported that sources close to the Prime Minister had said his schedule on Monday was packed with meetings.
