Jobless man nabbed for shoplifting in Ampang


AMPANG: A 39-year-old jobless man was detained for allegedly stealing RM83 worth of beauty products from a convenience store at Jalan Tasik Tambahan.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said the suspect was detained after the store's manager saw him slipping the beauty products into his bag at about 3.50pm on Thursday (Sept 29).

"The manager contacted the police and the suspect was detained about 10 minutes later.

"We also seized six beauty products from the suspect," he said when contacted on Sunday (Oct 2).

The suspect also tested positive for drugs, he said.

"He has been remanded until Monday (Oct 3) for further investigation," he said.
