PAS MB if Perikatan wins Perlis, says Hamzah

PETALING JAYA: Perlis would get a mentri besar from PAS if Perikatan Nasional wins the state in the 15th General Election (GE15), says Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin (pic).

The Perikatan secretary-general said Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) acknowledges the position of PAS as a 'big brother' to the coalition in Perlis.

He said PAS would lead Bersatu well in the state and urged both parties not to throw potshots at each other with the impending GE15.

"I said big brother as we support the PAS leadership to lead the state," Utusan Malaysia quoted Hamzah as saying in a special meeting with Perikatan leadership in Kangar on Thursday (Sept 29).

Hamzah reminded all parties not to publicise their party strategies through social media to prevent the opposition from taking advantage.

"What is important is we get to know and trust each other and create cooperation to prove that Perikatan can succeed in taking over Perlis.

He said the meeting was also to request every Perlis Perikatan member to be ready to face GE15 and convince them of the support the coalition has, including from non-bumiputras.

"I am proud that we are able to prove that the Perikatan leadership has unquestionable integrity," added Hamzah.

Also present among others were state PAS commissioner and state Perikatan chairman Mohd Shukri Ramli and state Bersatu chief Abu Bakar Hamzah.
