Four reps now ‘invited’ to sit in new Negri liaison committee line-up

SEREMBAN: The four PKR assemblymen, who were initially dropped from the new liaison committee line-up, will be "invited" to sit in the state line-up.

This follows an update in a statement from the Mentri Besar's Office on Thursday (Sept 29).

An officer said the first list, which contained 28 names released earlier, did not include their names.

Earlier, Negri Sembilan legislative assembly Deputy Speaker Datuk M. Ravi and three other assemblymen from PKR were excluded from the list.

Apart from the Sri Tanjung assemblyman who was previously state deputy PKR chief, also missing from the state line-up announced on were Ampangan assemblyman Datuk Dr Mohamad Rafie Ab Malek, Chuah assemblyman Datuk Michael Yek and Pilah assemblyman Mohamad Nazaruddin Sabtu.

Mohamad Rafie, who is also state investment, industrialisation, entrepreneurship, education and human capital committee chairman, was previously director of strategic planning while Yek was vice chairman II.

Mohamad Nazaruddin, who holds the state arts, culture and Malay traditions portfolio, was also an ex-officio in his capacity as an assemblyman.

The only state PKR assemblyman retained in the new line-up for the next three years is Datuk Ismail Ahmad, who was previously vice chairman I.

This time, the Rasah division chief has been appointed committee member.

Seremban PKR chief Muhammad Nazri Kassim has been named as Aminuddin's deputy while Port Dickson vice-chief Kenny Chiew and Kuala Pilah division chief Shahran Kaat were named as state vice chairman I and II.

PKR has six assemblymen in the state.
