Lorry driver arrested for allegedly abusing twin sons

KLANG: A lorry driver with a bad temper has been arrested for allegedly abusing his twin teenage sons.

The 44-year-old man was said to have slapped and punched his twin sons at a house in Taman Sentosa here on Monday (Sept 26).

South Klang OCPD Asst Comm Cha Hoong Fong said they received a call from a woman claiming that her husband slapped and punched the faces of their twin sons at around 7.30pm

"She claimed that she tried to stop him from beating the boys but was also beaten by him.

“Police rushed to the house and arrested the man,” he said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 27).

ACP Cha said iInvestigations revealed the man and the complainant had five children together.

“The man allegedly has a bad temper and constantly beats the two boys.

“They had scars from previous beatings on their bodies which were not reported,” he said, adding that the motive for the beating was believed to be because the two boys allegedly always went out and returned home late.

"Checks revealed the man has three prior cases in his criminal record for crime and drug related offences.

"He had been remanded for four days to help with further investigations," said ACP Cha.

The case is being investigated as exposing a child to danger so as to cause physical or emotional injury.
