Perak too needs the NSC’s security training, says MB

IPOH: The security training by National Security Council (NSC) should also be conducted in Perak, says Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad (pic).

He said the training was needed in the state as it would help the related agencies and departments to be prepared for any emergency.

“I was informed that the programme will also include training the community to react during certain incidents including security threats.

“Therefore we hope that NSC would consider Perak to be part of the training as it is beneficial for us too,” he said after launching the National Security Policy talk at the State Secretariat Building here on Monday (Sept 26).

In July, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said NSC should provide training to help Malaysians to be more prepared in the crisis.

On the National Security Policy, Saarani said as the Perak Security Council Committee director, he found the initiative as something that would help in ensuring prosperity and security at the best level.

“After what had happened with Covid-19 and the effect it had, I am glad NSC wanted to create a more comprehensive policy that will help us to be more prepared in the future,” he said.
