Father, son killed after motorcycle hits jungle fowl

KOTA TINGGI: A father and a son died on the spot after the motorcycle they were on skidded and crashed into a tree at KM39.5 Jalan Kota Tinggi-Kluang.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said the incident took place on Sunday (Sept 25) at around 8pm near here.

He said the 40-year-old victim and his nine-year old son were travelling from Bandar Tenggara towards Felda Pengeli Timur when the incident happened near a petrol station.

“The man lost control of the motorcycle and crashed into the tree after accidentally hitting a jungle fowl which suddenly crossed the road,’’ Supt Zamora said in a statement.

He said motorists who passed the area informed the police about the incident at around 7.40pm.

Supt Zamora said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
