Car ends up in Kota Tinggi house's backyard after driver loses control

KOTA TINGGI: A car lost control and plunged into the compound of a house at a Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) settlement here.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said the incident took place along Jalan Aman in Felda Lok Heng Selatan at around 7.30pm Wednesday (Sept 21) while the 22-year-old driver was on his way home.

"He lost control of his Nissan Sentra and hit the roof of another house before landing on its side in the compound.

"The driver sustained minor injuries to the forehead.

"The accident was due to the driver’s carelessness, which led to his failure to control the vehicle properly," he said in a statement on Thursday (Sept 22).

Supt Hussin added that the weather was fine and the road was not busy when the accident occurred.

The case is being investigated under Rule 10 the Road Traffic Rules 1959 (LN 166/59) for failure to exercise due control over the movements of the vehicle, he also said.

He reminded road users to be mindful when driving and always obey the road traffic rules.
