Court allows bail for duo charged with harbouring illegals

GEORGE TOWN (Sept 20): Two catering company employees are facing a joint charge for sheltering 24 illegal immigrants under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007 (Atipsom), were granted bail by the High Court here on Tuesday (Sept 20).

Judge Mohd Radzi Abdul Hamid said bail was granted as M. Vathanan, 44, has health issues and T.Krishnaveni, 55, is a woman.
