MACC arrests asst govt officer for allegedly giving food contracts to brother's company


KOTA KINABALU: An assistant officer with a government department was arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly abusing his power in approving the purchase of food worth RM43,000 from his brother's company.

The civil servant in his 40s was arrested at 10am on Monday (Sept 19) at the Sabah MACC headquarters after he turned up to give his statement in connection with the investigations.
