Transport Ministry to discuss with Singapore over RTS Link project, says Dr Wee

KULAI: The Transport Ministry will meet with its Singaporean counterparts in the next two days to discuss the Johor Baru - Singapore Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link) project.

The discussion would touch on technical issues, according to its Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic).

“Things that fall under the bilateral agreement of the project such as the relocation of Public Utilities Board utilities will also be discussed,” he said in a press conference after launching the Johor MCA convention here on Sunday (Sept 18).

Dr Wee added that he would give updates about the project accordingly after that.

The RTS Link is on track for completion by Dec 31, 2026 for it to commence operation on Jan 1, 2027, he said.

With a capacity of 10,000 passengers per hour each way, the RTS Link is set to provide easy and comfortable transportation between Johor Baru and Singapore in just five minutes.
