Man killed after car goes up in flames in crash

BATU PAHAT: A man was killed after his car went up in flames following an accident at KM10 of Jalan Bukit Pasir - Tongkang Pechah here.

Batu Pahat OCPD Asst Comm Ismail Dollah said that police received information about the incident from the public at about 11.10pm on Friday (Sept 16).

"The accident is believed to have happened when the car was heading towards Yong Peng from Batu Pahat town. The driver lost control of the vehicle and skidded to the left side of the road where hitting some rocks and going up in flames," he said.

He added that a 43-year-old man, who was driving the car was killed at the scene while two passengers, aged 25 and 27, suffered injuries.

"The injured victims have been sent to Hospital Sultanah Nora Ismail in Batu Pahat for further treatment," he said.
