Cops probing suspected kidnap of woman in Tumpat

KOTA BARU: A 36-year-old woman reported missing since Tuesday (Sept 13) in Kampung Semat Jal, Tumpat, is believed to have been kidnapped.

Tumpat OCPD Asst Comm Amran Dolah said the victim was believed to have been abducted by four men in a brown car at 5.10pm.

"The suspects are also said to be armed with pistols and the car was seen heading towards Wakaf Baru, Tumpat.

"Tumpat police confirmed receiving a report on the incident and the case is still under investigation,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (Sept 14).

ACP Amran urged those with information to immediately call Kelantan police headquarters at 09-7450999 or the Tumpat district police headquarters operations room at 09-7257222.

"I seek the public's cooperation not to make any speculation that can jeopardise police investigations,” he said. – Bernama
