ALOR SETAR: Continuous rain at Baling has caused a flash flood at Kampung Iboi on Tuesday (Sept 6).
The temporary Bailey bridge that connects the village to Kampung Masjid Iboi was also closed to all vehicles after Sungai Kupang burst its banks due to strong current.

Villager Hasriah Din, 50, said she was returning from Kelantan to her home in Kampung Iboi when the road leading to her house was disconnected.
"We have to turn back and find alternative ways in Tiak and Simpang Tiga before we can reach our house," she said when contacted.

Hasriah said the rain since 5pm has caused the main river there to overflow and Kampung Iboi to submerge by flood.
At the time of writing, authorities are still evacuating villagers who live along the banks of Sungai Kupang.

On July 4 the floods and water surge phenomenon affected 12 villages in Baling including Kampung Iboi and Kampung Masjid Iboi.
The flood also claimed three lives including a pregnant woman.
