Cops looking into teen actress' sexual harassment claims

KUALA LUMPUR: The police will look into a claim by a teenage female actress, who alleged that she was sexually harassed by her father.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim said police will check whether there was any criminal element involved in the matter.

"So far, KL police have not received any report from the actress.

"I have not viewed the video of the actress' interview, but we will investigate if there is any criminal element," he told reporters at the KL police headquarters on Tuesday (Sept 6).

It was previously reported that the 15-year-old actress shared her experiences in a YouTube programme called Broadcast.

The actress claimed that she was sexually harassed by her own father since she was young, while alleging that her father treated her mother poorly.

It is learnt that her father lodged a police report at Bandar Baru police station in Kedah.
