Saratok schools create new non-stop ‘syair’ recitation record

SIBU: A non-stop recitation of ‘syair’ (Malay poems) by 59 schools in Saratok earned them an entry in the Malaysia Book of Record.

The effort by 1,717 participants, which included teachers, students and parents, was recorded as the longest non-stop syair recitation.
