Two robbery suspects arrested by Cheras police


KUALA LUMPUR: A series of convenience stall robberies have been solved after police arrested two suspects.

In a statement on Friday (Aug 19), Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Zam Halim Jamaluddin, said that the two men were caught within a housing area in Bandar Tun Razak in Cheras early Friday morning.

"The suspects were believed to have been linked to a robbery at a convenience stall in Taman Pertama, which led to losses of RM507.50.

"Checks on the 31 and 36-year-old men showed past criminal and drug-related offences.

"With their arrest, five cases of convenience stall robberies within the Cheras area have been solved. Both have been remanded until Aug 23," he added.
