Cops seize drugs worth over RM1mil, six arrested in KL


KUALA LUMPUR: Police seized drugs worth more than RM1mil and arrested six drug pushers here on Monday (Aug 8).

In a statement on Tuesday (Aug 9), Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said that the arrests were made after a crime prevention patrol noticed two suspicious cars in front of the apartments in the area.

“During the inspection at 1.20pm, the police discovered 38.161kg of meth, with a value of RM1,384,100.

“The drugs were found in the bonnet of a car.

“Following the questioning of the suspects, it was discovered that the drugs had been brought from outside the Klang Valley and were intended to be delivered to a receiver in Kuala Lumpur. A sixth suspect was caught at Jalan Chedana at 6.15pm on the same day,” he added.

ACP Noor Dellhan said that four men and two women, aged between 20 and 49, were arrested.

“Urine tests showed they tested positive for meth and two of the suspects have prior drug charges. All have been remanded until Aug 15,” he said.
