Investigation paper on rape case involving preacher to be submitted to DPP, say KL cops


PUTRAJAYA: The investigation paper on a freelance preacher suspected of raping a 14-year-old girl will be submitted to the deputy public prosecutor for further action, says Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Azmi Abu Kassim.

Speaking to reporters after closing a Kuala Lumpur contingent training on boat handling here, he said the case was investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape and Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences against Children Act 2017.
