Cops seeking witnesses to fatal Federal Highway hit-and-run


SHAH ALAM: Witnesses to a fatal hit-and-run case along the Federal Highway early Sunday (July 24) have been urged to contact the police.

In a statement, Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the incident occurred on KM7 of the Federal Highway.

Police were notified of the incident shortly after midnight.

“Investigations showed that the pedestrian was crossing the road at the time. An unknown vehicle hit the 33-year-old woman as it was coming from Kuala Lumpur, heading towards Klang.

“The victim died at the scene and has been sent to Hospital Shah Alam for a post mortem,” he said.

Those with information are urged to contact traffic investigating officer Insp Muhammad Hasrul Suhiami at 011-3121 5697 or the nearest police station.
