Tok Mat to be questioned by cops for making insensitive remarks

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan (pic) will be called in for his statements regarding an interview he did where he allegedly made insensitive remarks against Hindus.

Sentul OCPD Asst Comm Beh Eng Lai, when contacted, confirmed the matter.

"Yes, we will be calling him and several others for their statements. This includes the complainant," he said, adding that as of now, there hasn't yet been a set time frame on when all the statements would be recorded.

In a previous interview with Asia Times, the Umno deputy president reportedly referred to the kavadi as a 'burden', while explaining Umno's defeat in the 14th General Elections.

A report was made at the Sentul police headquarters by Parti Pribumi Bersatu Bersatu Malaysia's associate wing.
