KUCHING: The Sarawak government is in the midst of drafting the conditions and requirements for individuals to be recognised as a native of the state, says a state deputy minister.
Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali said the requirements would be imposed by the state Cabinet for the recognition of a person who is a citizen and natural-born child of a person of a race indigenous to Sarawak, as stipulated in the Interpretation (Amendment) Ordinance 2022.
