Former businessman gunned down in Mont Kiara


KUALA LUMPUR: A 63-year-old man was gunned down by an unknown assailant after visiting a friend in Mont Kiara.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor said the victim, who is a retired businessman, had earlier visited his friend's home at Jalan Desa Kiara 1 for a game of mahjong.

"He left the house at about midnight and walked towards his car, which was parked outside the gated residential area.

"A witness saw the victim walking towards his car at about 12.10am on Tuesday (July 12), before hearing three gunshots moments later," he said.

The man was found bleeding profusely next to his vehicle, he added.

"We are still investigating the motive behind the attack.

"We are also tracking the culprit responsible for the murder," he said.
