PETALING JAYA: Malaysia has become an important operations hub for Lion Air Group, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The Transport Minister said it was encouraging to have the confidence and trust of the Group and the ministry welcomes the good working relationship," said Dr Wee on his Facebook page Monday (July 11), after the rebranding of Batik Air and the launch of their Boeing 737-8 fleet at KLIA.
"I have to thank Lion Air Group founder Rusdi Kirana whom I met at KLIA in the recovery and expansion of flight connectivity in Malaysia.
"Such a relationship should usher in more benefits for travellers, both in Malaysia and Indonesia," added Dr Wee.
