PETALING JAYA: Tabika Kemas in Kampung Parit Awang, Yong Peng, Johor received an allocation of RM5,000 to improve its facilties from Ayer Hitam MP Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.
The kindergarten, which won the Johor Tabika Kemas competition, will be representing the state at the national level event.
The Transport Minister, who presented the cheque for the allocation to the kindergarten, said he was impressed with the development of the school which has botanic activities for its students and a variety of plant species on the premises.
"I congratulate the kindergarten for emerging as the winner in the state level competition. The allocation is to help upgrade the facilities here for the benefit of the children," Dr Wee said in a Facebook post Saturday (July 9).
"I hope the school would further progress in its efforts to provide pre-school education to children in Kampung Parit Awang Yong Peng and be an examplary school in the future," the MCA president added.
Also present during the visit was Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soo.
